Application Document Submission

Private enterprises applying for PrivacyMark Accreditation should file Application Documents to the Accreditation Body (JIPDEC) or Conforminity Assessment Bodies.

Fees for Screening/Assessment are to be charged regardless of final PrivacyMark Accreditation.

Disqualifying Factors

1. If any of the documents required for the PrivacyMark Application are missing.
2. Fill out the all items in Forms based upon "Instructions for Completing the Form". Incomplete applications will not be accepted.
3. Training must be provided to all employees and audits must be conducted on all departments.
4. If your Application is not accepted, your documents would be returned at your expense.

1. Application to Conforminity Assessment Bodies

Applicants falling into the following categories should submit Application Documents directly to the Conforminity Assessment Body, either in person or by post. If you're unclear on what you should be doing with Application procedure, please contact your Conforminity Assessment Body for initiatives (See the List of Conforminity Assessment Bodies)

1) Conforminity Assessment Bodies

• Japan Information Technology Services Industry Association (JISA)
• Japan Marketing Research Association (JMRA)
• Japan Juku Association (JJA)
• Kankon Sousai Gojo Kyoukai
• The Japan Graphics Services Industry Association (JaGra)
• Japan Users Association of Information Systems (JUAS)
• Nippon Information Communications Association (NIC)
• Computer Software Association of Japan (CSAJ)
• Japan Federation of Printing Industries (JFPI)
• Secure Broadcasting Authorization and Research Center (SARC)

2) Applicants in the healthcare, medical, and social service fields
(Hospitals, clinics, pharmacies, medical testing institutes, health insurance associations, assessment payment facility, nursing care facilities, in-home nursing care service providers, etc.)

• The Medical Information System Development Center

3) Applicants with Registered Headquarters in the Tohoku, Chubu, Kinki, or Kyushu Regions
(except for those applicants in 1, 2 above that apply to Conforminity Assessment Body)

• Aomori, Akita, Yamagata, Iwate, Miyagi, and Fukushima Prefectures
  ->Michinoku Information Security Promotion Consortium (MISEC)
• Aichi, Gifu, Mie, Toyama, and Ishikawa Prefectures
  ->Central Japan Industries Association (ChuSanRen)
Osaka, Kyoto, Fukui, Shiga, Hyogo, Nara, and Wakayama Prefectures
->The Kansai Institute of Information System & Industrial Renovation (KIIS)
• Fukuoka, Nagasaki, Kumamoto, Oita, Miyazaki, and Kagoshima Prefectures
  ->Kumamoto Technology & Industry Foundation

2.Application to Accreditation Body (JIPDEC)

Applicants that do not fall in the above categories should file your Application Documents to the JIPDEC PrivacyMark Promotion Center. Sending by mail or private delivery service, a delivery record such as registered mail were highly appropriated.
